PKMMHSS is best known for the maximum number of A+ in Kerala.

PKMM Higher Secondary School (PKMMHSS) in Edarikode, Malappuram district, was founded in 1979 by the late Dr. Poozhikkal Ebrahim Haji, a visionary educationalist and dedicated social reformer. He established the school with the aim of enlightening society through quality education. Beyond PKMMHSS, Dr. Ebrahim Haji and his successors were instrumental in establishing and maintaining several educational institutions across the region, reflecting his commitment to social upliftment through education.
Originally started as a 'Pallikoodam' (traditional village school), PKMMHSS was transformed into a formal school in 1979. In 2000, it was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School, offering courses in Science, Computer Science, and Commerce. Under the leadership of Dr. Ebrahim Haji and subsequent administrators, the school has grown significantly, now accommodating over 7,000 students and 300 tutors. PKMMHSS is renowned for its academic excellence, consistently achieving high pass percentages in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations and earning accolades in co-curricular activities like the Kerala School Kalolsavam.
